Google Analytics And Your Website
Over the next few posts, I want to share some different ways to improve what you are doing already to get more traffic, more subscribers, and more affiliate sales. Today we’ll start by taking track of what’s happening on our sites. The best way to do just that is to set up a Google Analytics account.
I put together a short report for you that walks you through setting up Google analytics and more importantly taking a look at the data and what it means for you and your site.
Google Analytics Made Easy (pdf)
To download the report, right-click on the link and choose “Save Target As” or “Save Link As” . You will need a pdf reader to open the file.
Enjoy!

Susanne,
I appreciate this report you wrote. Google Analytics reveals useful data about the performance of a website or blog. I look at our reports at least one a month, as you suggest.
One lesson I learned is to use the same email address for the Google Analytics account as you use for Google Adsense. I wish I would have realized that much sooner. Having the same email address allows you to easily tie the two accounts together.
Thanks a lot for your report.
You’re very welcome Mary, glad you liked it.
Great tip on using the same email address for your various google accounts (this also holds true for youtube etc. by the way). I find it easiest to set up a gmail account and then link it tall all my various other google related accounts.
