Why I purchase PLR Articles On A Regular Basis
I’ve mentioned PLR or Private Label Rights articles here a few times. I consider myself a content marketer which means that I spend my working hours creating lots of great content that’s published on my blogs, in articles, guest posts, podcasts and short reports. I’m monetizing my content by recommending affiliate products along with my own info products.
Why I Purchase PLR Articles
I crank out a lot of content on a weekly basis. Buying PLR articles makes it easier for me to get that done. As you know, I have websites in quite a few different niches. One of the big challenges of this business model is to keep up with those sites and to continually add fresh content to them. That’s where PLR articles come into play. They are like a little shortcut. I don’t have to write every single thing from scratch. Instead, I can start with a draft already done for me. I just edit and tweak it to fit my needs.
Where To Purchase PLR Articles
Unfortunately not all PLR is created equal. There’s a lot of junk out there and I’ve bought my share of it. In those cases it would have been faster for me to write something from scratch then to edit the crappy articles into something useable. That being said, there are a few great sites that I keep going back to for quality PLR. Here they are:
The best PLR out there… Quality articles, limited quantities and always in the hottest niches.
Another great source of high quality PLR articles in some of the best niches.
Take one of these content packages and turn it into a complete paid product or course.
Another great source of quality content with awesome graphics. This site mostly focuses on the self help niche.
Great how to guides and checklists complete with graphics. These make awesome blog posts or short reports.
Another favorite source of PLR content that I use on a regular basis. They offer articles, reports and even autoresponder messages in a big variety of different niches. Don’t miss the exclusive memberships.
How To Use PLR Articles Multiple Times
PLR articles are a great shortcut, but they really start to pay off if you can use each article multiple times. For example, I may buy a pack of 10 articles all around the same overall topic. I start by using at least some of the articles as starting points for blog posts. Sometimes I take an entire article, rewrite and tweak it to fit my target audience and post it to my blog. Sometimes I take portions of an article and turn them into a blog post. I’ve taken a 10 tips PLR article and turned it into a series of 10 short blog posts. I took each tip and just expanded on it, included an example or two and published it.
Next, you can take PLR articles or portions of them and publish them in your newsletter or add them to your autoresponder series.
Use some of the articles as inspiration to write articles for article directories and guest blog posts. Don’t use the actual PLR articles here (even if you plan to do a lot of editing). Use it as a shortcut for coming up with ideas and having some of the topic research done for you.
Last but not least, I like to bundle the 10 PLR articles into a short report. Again, I edit the articles, enhance them by including examples, graphics etc and of course monetize them by including recommendations to products I’m an affiliate for. I turn the report into a pdf and share it with my list, on my blog, via social media and document sharing sites like Scribd.
Do you see how easy it is to get lots of leverage out of every single PLR article pack you buy?

Hi Susanne:
Very interesting piece on buying PLR. And since I’m just starting out as a PLR provider, the more I can learn about this world, the better.
Thank you for this wonderful post. I have a ton of PLR that I have purchase. I am still trying to figure out how to use them all. This post should help. I keep reading all of this kind of information and still haven’t really been able to use most of my PLR.
Plan to eventually write my own. Hung up on how to display it for sale on my website. I do have some written but like only 2 for each topic. LOL I will get there.
