3 Ways To Build Your List This Summer

Summer is here and with it many of us see a slump in traffic and income. That’s what makes it the perfect time to work on building our lists. Today I want to share three different ways to build your list. All three of them have been inspired by summer and the things we love to do this time of the year. Enjoy and most importantly take some time to work on all three of these over the coming weeks.

Offer Some Sweet Treats

One of my favorite things about summer is the sweet frozen treats we get to indulge in. Think ice cream, popsicles and the likes. Why not offer your readers a sweet treat this summer to entice them to sign up for your list.

Your “treat” can be just about anything, a short report, a quick video or audio recording or even a coupon code. Set side some time today to come up with some ideas. Pick the one that’s easiest and quickest for you to do and run with it.

Once you have your “treat” finished, offer it as a free giveaway when someone joins your list.

Take A Plunge Into The Pool

What would summer be without the pool. In this case the “pool” is social media sites. Spend a few minutes each day interacting on sites like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Interact with your target audience on those sites and share some interesting tips and links.

Once you take the plunge and make some new friends, invite them check out your site and sign up for your list. If you spent the time to create the sweet treat I mentioned earlier, you’ll get some good responses and should see your list grow in size each week.

Go On Vacation

Last but not least let’s talk about taking a vacation. The main point of a vacation is to go somewhere else to experience a different area, culture and meet new people. You can do the same thing online … by guest blogging on a related blog. Find some fun and interesting blogs in your niche. Read through the posts to get a feel for the blogger and his audience and then write an interesting guest blog post. At the end of it, invite readers to join your list. Email the guest blog post to the blogger. Rinse and repeat through out the summer.
